In Memoriam : Allee Willis
















Allee Willis, the songsmith behind such hits as Earth Wind and Fire's "September" and the iconic FRIENDS theme song, has passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of 72.


Willis has writing credit on multiple hit songs spanning decades, including "What Have I Done to Deserve This" by Pet Shop Boys, "Neutron Dance" by the Pointer Sisters and "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind and Fire.


Also a two time Grammy winner. The first in 1986 for her work on the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack, the second coming in 2016 for her work on the stage adaptation for The Color Purple.
